From the Principal

Nga mihi mahana ki a koutou.

A warm welcome to Forest Lake Primary School. We are pleased your child is to attend our school. It is important that the time spent here is both happy and productive.
The experiences of school, at this level, have a vital and formative role for your young children in developing and enriching their appreciation and understanding of the world.  A sound foundation in learning is critical if your child is to develop self-esteem, a positive attitude towards learning and essential knowledge and skills. We, the staff, accept our responsibility to meet within the resources at our disposal the needs of your child. We provide innovating and challenging learning opportunities within a caring and stimulating environment and encourage children to achieve their full potential.
If we are to achieve these desirable educational outcomes for your child there needs to be a strong link between the home and school. You and your child need to be actively involved with the school. You need to provide encouragement, support and assistance to your child. We also welcome, encourage and value parents’ participation in the schools activities.
We look forward to your support and assistance.
We look forward to sharing this period of your child’s life with you. We hope that together we can attain the aspirations you have for your child, gain the maximum benefits and profit from the rewarding experiences during the time your child will spend at Forest Lake School.
